Linguistic abilities, confident speaking, a clear voice, and a functioning swallowing process are essential for our daily lives – until they are suddenly impaired. An illness, an accident, or age-related changes can lead to significant challenges.
Speech therapy helps adults regain lost abilities or improve existing limitations. The goal is to achieve the greatest possible independence and ease in daily life. In this process, involving close family members is particularly important to us – because communication always affects the social environment as well.
We treat adults with:
– e.g., after a stroke, traumatic brain injury, or neurological conditions such as Parkinson's, MS, or ALS
– such as dysarthria or apraxia of speech
– e.g. hoarseness, vocal fatigue, functional or organic changes
